Part-Time Litigation Paralegal

Key Responsibilities
Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
E-filing: E-file all court documents in state court.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties.
Research: Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
Discovery Management: Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
Drafting: Draft and serve summons, pleadings, and motions to file with the court.
Coordination: Coordinate depositions.
Organization: Maintain indexes for pleadings and discovery; organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
Support: Assist attorneys with discovery requests and gather relevant information.
Settlement Assistance: Provide assistance with case settlements.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Florida Workers' Compensation experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or within a law firm setting. Experience with the DOAH Database for e-filing is required.
Skills: Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while handling workload independently.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Licenses: Notary License is preferred.
Compensation And Benefits
Part-time position with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
End of Year Bonus Pay
Paid Time Off
Note: No health insurance benefits are offered.
Work Environment
This position is remote.
Schedule is Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week.
