What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Leverage internal tools and systems to collect and analyze data while maintaining data integrity
• Analyze industry data to identify title opportunities for practical nonfiction publishing
• Support editorial decisions by translating data findings into actionable insights
• Manage day-to-day data tasks to meet downstream insight needs throughout the title development process
• Assist the Director of Data Analytics with various data analytics needs

What Is Required (Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant field
• Strong mathematical and statistical background
• Hands-on experience with data analysis and machine learning projects
• Experience translating data findings into actionable business insights
• Proficiency in SQL and Python

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Familiarity with MS PowerBI or similar data reporting tools
• Experience in publishing or the media industry is a plus
• Familiarity with command line tools and Git version control
• Knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
