Job Description
We're seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist for a contract position until October 2024 at our facility in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our hospital's billing department, reception, and allied health services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a warm welcome to patients and visitors, assisting with inquiries and check-ins
Manage electronic scheduling system for patient appointments and follow-ups
Handle phone calls and emails promptly, routing them to appropriate departments
Verify financial records and process patient charges
Collaborate with the finance office for daily bank deposits
Coordinate with Triage Nurses on patient scheduling and provider availability
Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
Manage office inventory and equipment maintenance
Participate in meetings to improve processes and stay updated on policy requirements
Assist in Mass Casualty exercises and events
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a hospital setting
Medical terminology certification highly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
High school diploma or equivalent
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a typical office environment
Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting and standing
Capable of bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Special Requirements
Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Ability to obtain US DOD NACI clearance
Willingness to relocate to Kwajalein Atoll
Valid passport required throughout employment
